The TESLA PowerCell 10 SE is The Absolute Sound 2009 AC Power Conditioner of The Year!
The PowerCell 10 features patent pending Active EM filter technology and chassis which sets the PowerCell apart from all other line conditioners. With its 5 isolated circuits, any system can have the benefit of 5 isolated circuits, with zero cross contamination between zones.
The PowerCell is based on electromagnetic cell technology, and is available as the PowerCell 6, PowerCell 10, and the PowerCell 10 Special Edition; these numbers correspond to the number of AC outlets each unit has. The PowerCell basically conditions the current by sending the AC signal through an electromagnetic cell. This technology works outside of the signal path to condition alternating current with differential electromagnetic fields, in contrast to most line conditioners that work by placing transformers or chokes in the signal path. The PowerCell uses isolated circuits for each pair of its Teslaplex AC outlets, and the Active EM filter is powered by a 30-volt MPC power supply.
The PowerCell 10 Special Edition is different from the PowerCell 6 and 10 by using an even higher performance active EM filter and an additional Quantum Tunneling process. The PowerCell 6 and 10 have 20-amp IECs for AC connectivity, while the PowerCell 10 SE has a 32-amp Powercon connector. The 10SE also comes with the Tesla Precision AC Active power cord. Both the 10 and 10 SE each have five completely isolated circuits. This yields five designated circuits.
"Once installed and broken in for about 100 hours, the Powercell reclaimed virtually all of the straight-from-the-wall vitality, body and dynamic potency that had been missing. The sound was exceptionally clear with an altogether new level of transparency. This presentation was super fast, agile and bold. I liken the change to refitting a carburetor-fed car engine with a fuel-injected one. There is whip-crack responsiveness while maintaining balance and smoothness. It was as if all the components in the system had undergone a major tune-up. All of this was presented with a deeper, wider, blacker background that had none of the synthetic airless silence I associate with certain filtering conditioners. The Powercell 10's EM cell is active but its sound would suggest that it functions similarly to some passive conditioners in that the differential EM fields affect the current from outside the AC conductors."
