Mini Power Coupler (MPC)

Current version of the Synergistic Research MPC includes wall wart and 1.25m (~4Ft) detachable DC Cable. Longer versions of cable available for purchase separately. Select voltage above, all models use US style wall plugs regardless of voltage. Plug adapters may be used to convert the wall-plug type without sonic penalty.

A Mini Power Coupler (MPC) converts AC to DC, providing the correct voltage and current needed for Synergistic Research active products, including all active-shielded cables and various accessories.

NOTE: Polarity is important with Mini Power Couplers (MPCs). Unlike devices which use a three prong power cord, a power supply with only 2-pins can be plugged into an outlet two ways... right side up or upside down! This is important because one way will be in-phase and sound great, the other will be out of phase and sound cold, "washed out" and kinda... terrible. With US, UK and AUS style outlets it's very easy, simply plug in the MPC so the MPC's cable comes out in the same direction as the ground pin. With Schuko outlets it can be a bit more difficult and you'll have to listen to the MPC plugged in one way, then flip it over and plug it in the other way. One way will sound obviously better than the other!
