The EE1 network isolator is designed to drastically reduce noise whilst allowing digital signals to pass unhindered. Positioned discreetly between ethernet cables within a streaming audio/video system, the EE1, like the EE 8Switch and 16Switch, continues English Electric's efforts to prevent noise from affecting music/image data and system performance.
Digital signals are robust but are often accompanied by a degree of noise - usually transferred from home network devices. The EE1 sits between components or between the network and the outside world, consuming noise and allowing more music to flow through. For music lovers interested in getting the higher resolution music, it is normally best to connect the audio system to the network with good quality ethernet cables or purpose made streaming cable such as those within the Chord Company cable ranges.
