Te Kaitora Rua invites you to embark and experience something absolutely unique.
The original Te Kaitora cartridge was the result of collaboration between Dynavector Japan and Dynavector New Zealand. Te Kaitora allowed analogue enthusiasts to embark on a voyage of discovery to the outer limits of vinyl reproduction.
The Te Kaitora Rua continues this journey by incorporating many of the best features of the TKR's Dynavector stable-mates, the XV-1s and XX-2. TKR has even managed to improve on the original's silky smooth treble and openness.
Note: Te Kaitora means "The Discoverer" in the language of the NZ Maori people, Rua, means "the second version"
TKR Features:
- The wire for the coil is now PC OCC copper which sounds much smoother and has superior musical performance
- The titanium headpiece delivers maximum rigidity, a non-magnetic stainless steel bolt couples the front and rear yokes to the magnetic circuit assembly
- The 6mm boron cantilever receives the same Pathfinder (PF) line-contact stylus as used in the mighty Dynavector XV-1s and best-selling XX-2
- The ingenious square-shaped armature and matching square-shaped aperture in the front yoke providing greater linearity in magnetic flux distribution (See image above)
