The Hana Umami Blue delivers much of the sonic character of the amazing Umami Red without the sticker shock! Lead designer Maseo Okada-san melded two of his greatest cartridge designs into a high-value hybrid.
From the Umami Red, Okada-san took the low-resonance Auricle body, high-precision Micro-Ridge stylus and ultra-light boron cantilever, slotting in the much-praised ALNICO-based generating mechanism from the Hana ML. The result is a cartridge which rides the fine balance between high-end credibility and accessible price. The Umami Blue sets a new standard for Hana and we expect it to become a new analog classic!
