The Reference CD/SACD Transport
The PDT 3100 HV is a purist CD/SACD transport that does not include any additional digital sources or integrated conversion stages. It has been developed exclusively for the uncompromising task of reading SACD and CD media with maximum precision.
The transport features a newly designed decoder and drive mechanism developed entirely in-house. This system reads and decodes CD and SACD data to the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
The mechanism is mounted within a heavy-duty drive assembly manufactured to exceptionally tight tolerances. This construction provides extensive shielding and mechanical isolation, ensuring optimal protection against vibration and external interference. The result is a highly refined mechanical system designed for maximum stability and reading precision.
The core of the PDT 3100 HV is a newly developed, modern decoder and disc mechanism designed specifically for high-performance audio applications. It incorporates the latest-generation processors, laser assemblies, and high-precision motor systems, all engineered to create optimal conditions for accurate, error-free disc reading.
The mechanism is fully shielded and housed within a substantial aluminum enclosure machined from solid material. This construction is designed to prevent any form of mechanical or electromagnetic interaction between the transport assembly and the rest of the player.
The entire disc mechanism block is mounted on two precision linear bearings and suspended from a thick carrier plate. This carrier plate is fixed to the central chassis at only three points. This decoupled architecture ensures that the transport mechanism remains effectively isolated from the external housing, minimizing the transmission of vibration and external disturbances.
