Multifunctional NCF Booster Performance-enhancing Connector & Cable Holder. The Furutech NCF Booster Connector and Cable Holder lifts audio cables off any surface area minimizing boundary contact distortion and eliminating points of contact with the floor. Boosters significantly reduce electromagnetic interference, and excel at providing NCF damping support for connectors and cables right at their points of connection!
The NCF Booster Signal allows for optimum alignment between connectors and sockets and eliminates static – boosting performance by allowing a more pure and clear signal.
Each NCF Booster Signal consists of three parts; Base, Shafts and NCF Top Cradle:
The Base has a generous footprint of almost four square inches, making it quite stable. The Base is also quite massive for such a small footprint, weighing in at just over half a pound! The Base is threaded to accept Booster Shafts and Extensions.
Two types of Shafts included; a Top Shaft and an Extension Shaft. Both Shaft types are made from Nickel-plated Brass, offering outstanding durability and exceptional vibration control. The Top Shaft features a smooth rounded top and a threaded rod sticking out of the bottom. The Extension Shaft is threaded top and bottom allowing it to be threaded to the Top shaft and threaded into the base. This allows the NCF Booster Signal to be used in either a low profile configuration (top shaft only) or with the extension shaft to raise the overall height. Additional Booster Shafts are available in a 12 pack, sold separately.
The NCF Top Cradle is where the real magic happens. A wide and flat surface on which to lay the cables, this surprisingly heavy piece is built using a composite material imbued with Furutech's patented NCF material. There's more info on what makes NCF special in another tab, but the big deal is that this material consumes vibration and radiated noise, removing it from the pathway. Laying the cables across the Cradle, then use the included silicone damping rings to press the cables down onto the Cradle's surface. Although the Cradle can technically be used without the silicone rings, we've found that using them to anchor the cables to the Cradle provides a significant sonic improvement.
