Max S sits alongside Max T as one of the two foundational posts in the Entreq Max range. Designed to work with the Corepoint units supplied with every Delphius and Primer Core cable, and equally with Entreq ground boxes, Max S contains a configuration of materials built around Silver, Tungsten and Mu-Metal, three materials whose combined contribution gives the post its distinctive character.

Silver, Tungsten and Mu-Metal, working together
Max S is built around three active materials rather than one. Silver contributes its established acoustic qualities – clarity, immediacy, an unforced sense of presence in the upper registers. Tungsten, the unifying material across the Max range, brings the weight and dimensional depth that has become a hallmark of Entreq’s work. Mu-Metal, a nickel-iron alloy with exceptionally high magnetic permeability, contributes a steadying influence on the electromagnetic environment around the reference point. The character of Max S is the product of these three materials in combination, each shaping what the others bring.

A different voice from Max T
Max T leads on Tungsten alone – weight, depth, dimension. Max S takes the same Tungsten base and builds outward, adding Silver for immediacy in the upper registers and Mu-Metal for stability in the electromagnetic environment. The result is a post with broader character than Max T, where Max T’s strength is its singular focus. Neither is better than the other – they are different approaches to the same role, and many listeners find themselves drawn to one in one system and the other in another.

The Max post architecture
Like every Entreq Max post, Max S contains a specific configuration of materials housed in a wooden body, designed to influence the electromagnetic behaviour at the reference point of a Corepoint unit or a ground box. The wooden body is chosen for its electromagnetic neutrality, letting the active materials inside do their work without interference from the housing itself.

Fitting Max S
To fit Max S, simply unscrew the standard wooden cap from your Corepoint unit or ground box and screw the Max S post in its place. The ERS wire or grounding cable is secured by the post as it goes. The architecture is open-ended by design: any Max post can be tried, swapped or upgraded at any time, with no other change to the system required.

Hand-built in Sweden
Max S is hand-built at Entreq's facility in Sweden. Each post houses its specific configuration of materials in a wooden body, with the Silver, Tungsten and Mu-Metal composition developed and refined through extensive testing on Entreq's own reference system.

Use with Corepoint, Ground Boxes and Tuss Kit
Max S is suitable for use with both the Corepoint units supplied with Delphius and Primer Core cables, with Entreq ground boxes including older models that may have been part of your system for years and with the Tuss Kit. In all applications, the effect is the same: a refinement of the host product’s performance, bringing Max S’s particular qualities into the system to which it is connected.

For Corepoint use, Max S screws onto the threaded post of a Corepoint Signal or Corepoint Power unit. For ground box use, Max S screws onto any of Entreq’s standard ground box binding posts.
