LT-1000 Line Transformer

The LT-1000 is Phasemation’s new line transformer, designed to address these modern user needs. It enhances usability while applying Phasemation’s transformer expertise to further elevate sound quality, delivering a refined listening experience in today’s diverse environments.

Over the years, feedback from users has highlighted common challenges:

• Volume levels: Preamplifiers often perform best at higher volume settings, but in home environments, the volume typically must remain low to avoid excessively loud sound.
• Connectivity: Connecting devices equipped only with XLR terminals to amplifiers with only RCA inputs is often difficult.
• Noise concerns: While users appreciate a wide frequency range, some have noted noise at the extreme low and high frequencies.

• Balanced and Unbalanced Input/Output Support:  Each input and output of the LT-1000 is equipped with both a balanced (XLR) and an unbalanced (RCA) terminal. The XLR connectors are manufactured by Neutrik, while the RCA terminals are gold-plated to ensure superior sound quality.
• Highly Visible Gain Selector with Precise Settings:  The gain switch offers five selectable positions (+6, 0, -6, -12 dB, ∞), allowing listeners to choose the most comfortable level. A convenient mute mode is also provided for moments such as phone calls or visitors. The specially designed knob ensures effortless operation and clear visual confirmation of the selected setting.
• Transformer Engineered for Superior Sound Quality:  At the heart of the LT-1000 is a transformer featuring a custom 0.1 mm Super Malloy core and PC-Triple C wiring. This conductor material, specially developed for transformer windings, is widely recognized as one of the finest available, ensuring highly detailed and musical signal reproduction.
• Housing Designed to Suppress Flux Leakage and Vibration:  The compact chassis houses the transformer within a shielded cover to minimize magnetic flux leakage. A floating structure with damping rubber further reduces unwanted vibrations, preserving the purity of the musical signal.
• Circuit Layout for High Channel Separation:  The transformers are arranged in an almost mono configuration, achieving an exceptional channel separation of 100 dB. This results in a clear and precise soundstage, with excellent imaging and spatial definition.
• Gold-Plated Components for Crisp Reproduction:  The circuit design minimizes signal path length, while gold-plated connectors and contact switches are used throughout, including the rotary gain switch. This ensures fresh, vibrant, and detailed sound.
• Versatile Applications:  The LT-1000 enables optimal volume adjustment between preamplifiers and power amplifiers, while also eliminating unnecessary high- and low-frequency noise along the signal path. It allows connection between devices with only XLR jacks and those with only RCA terminals, and vice versa. Simultaneous output to two power amplifiers is supported, accommodating one balanced and one unbalanced system.
