FP-209 Spade Connectors

The FP-209 (R) is a high purity "Barrier Strip" style spade. Featuring Furutech's exceptional Alpha copper as the base metal and Rhodium plated to Furutech's specifications, these spades deliver very high durability and long-lasting sound quality. Furutech originally intended these spades to be used primarily in their high-end power conditioners providing an ideal mechanical interface between outlet and conductor, speeding up installation, ensuring solid contact and spreading the contact force across a broader area than bare wire would allow.

Over the last several years, many fans of vintage gear have found that these spades fit perfectly in the barrier strips of their older speakers and amplifiers, allowing for the use of much larger gauge (and also higher quality) wire than might otherwise have been feasible. Unlike less expensive options made from brass, these high-quality spades allow more power to flow through unimpeded, eliminating distortion and providing a cleaner, purer signal path.
