WBT Crimp Sleeves make every DIY Cable project easier, from interconnects to speaker cables, even digital cables will benefit from using these. These should be considered a must-have for any project when terminating stranded wire or multi-core wire. Stranded wire is annoying to terminate, with those small conductors fraying as you try to stuff them in the connector. To make matters worse, those wee conductors will "settle" over time, much like grains of sand in a jar, causing poor connectivity and perhaps even allowing the connectors to come off! The old solution for this is simply to "tin" the wire with solder. However, despite this "ancient wisdom" and as durable as this process makes the connection, adding lead and tin to the signal path is not great for conductivity and thus sound.

Sonic Advantage? WBT Crimp Sleeves!
Crimping stranded wire ensures an air-tight seal, avoiding oxidization of those tiny strands and from an electrical perspective making them all one larger conductor, but that's hardly the only benefit. The crimping process also creates a larger surface area for those conductors allowing the connector to be attached with far greater contact pressure and contact surface area.

Crimp sleeves keep all those tiny conductors firmly bound together in a single bundle, making them easier to work with and eliminating concern about "stray hairs". Locking down the set screws of your connector onto WBT Crimp Sleeves creates a high-quality electrical connection which remains firm and tight for decades.

Easily Swap Connectors
Crimping your conductors also enables quick changes of connectors. Swap from Bananas to Spades with just a few spins of an Allen wrench. Same thing for swapping or removing RCA connectors. Crimp Sleeves make it effortless and easy to upgrade or modify any cable.

High Quality Metals
WBT's Crimp Sleeves are available in two metals, two types and ia huge variety of sizes to suit any project.

Gold Crimp Sleeves are made from a special Oxygen Free Copper (aka OFC) and coated in 24K gold for the ultimate in smooth, rich conductivity.
Silver Crimp Sleeves are made from high purity Silver and plated with Platinum to ensure ultra-high signal transfer and ultimate fidelity.

Note: All WBT Crimp  Sleeves can be cut to size after crimping. After stripping and crimping the wire, simply use a heavy set of wire cutters to trim the finished product to fit your needs.

With Crimp Sleeve sizes ranging from a tiny 20AWG all the way up to a whopping 6AWG, there's no reason not to use them on every project!

There are two types of Crimp Sleeves; insulated and uninsulated

Uninsulated is our most popular sleeve type and also the easiest to work with. These are metal sleeves, simply slide them over the conductor and crimp down. These sleeves usually "disappear" within the connector and ensure a seamless connection.

Insulated is best used where there's a concern that the outer part of the metal sleeve might touch a chassis or something else and create a short circuit. The clear outer collar on the Insulated Crimp Sleeve creates a spacing between metals keeping them from touching. These will also provide a measure of strain relief, as well.
