The Cottonmouth Gold Power Cable is built around a focused conductor choice: 24k gold over high-purity copper, and nothing else. 

There is no silver in this design. The conductor recipe is intentionally centered on gold’s tonal density and harmonic richness, supported by copper’s strength and current delivery capability. Together, they create a presentation with weight, stability, and authority.

While the Signature Series combines silver, gold, and copper to create a centered, full-bodied presentation, the Cottonmouth Gold line leans deliberately toward bold character and grounded composure. Gold contributes dimensional scale and tonal depth. Copper reinforces foundation and drive.

This power cable is terminated with our own gold-plated US and IEC connectors, ensuring consistent contact integrity from wall to component. As with all Snake River Audio cables, each power cable is custom built to your specified length.

AMP SERIES

All types of audio gear out there will benefit greatly from our power cables. Simply try one in your own system, and you'll be amazed at the difference one can make. But having the right cable for your equipment is important. Servers, DACs, transports, phono stages, and even preamps typically don't need much juice to operate at their full potential, and tend to be pretty consistent in the amount of power they use. However, big power hungry amplifiers can be a different story. Some music may have your amp running along pretty evenly, while other highly dynamic music, especially at louder levels, can have your amplifier gulping for more power. Using a power cable with smaller guage conductors can limit the surge of power your amplifier is provided, limiting it's full potential. Think of swimming. If you're just floating and not exerting (needing) much energy, you'll be fine breathing through a drinking straw. However, if you are putting out a lot of dynamic motion, swimming hard, that little drinking straw won't quite cut it.

This is where Snake River Audio developed the "Amp Series" of power cables. With heavier gauge conductors (67% more precious metal per inch), their "Amp Series" power cables provide your amplifier with a big wide open pipe to breathe through. This allows your amp to perform at it's full potential without being choked out for more juice. Made in both the Cottonmouth Gold and Signature Series recipes, the "Amp Series" cables are definitely meaty, weighing quite a bit more than the standard models.
