To compliment the Clearaudio Concept turntable, Clearaudio has introduced two affordable, high-performance phono cartridges: the Concept v2 MM (Moving Magnet) and Concept MC (Moving Coil). Due to the unique “frictionless magnetic bearing” design of the Concept’s Verify CF tonearm, either cartridge is available factory pre-installed on the Concept turntable at a special package price. Both Clearaudio Concept v2 MM and MC cartridges are also available separately for use on Clearaudio or other brand turntables.
The Concept MC is a low output moving coil cartridge featuring an aluminum-magnesium alloy body; it offers the user a taste of their reference v2 moving coil series at a more moderate price. Its sound is both refined and involving, with classic moving coil inner detail and dynamics.
