This is a very uncommon termination of an Ethernet cable! A crossover ethernet cable is a special configuration which is used to connect computing devices directly to each other. This cable was most often used to connect two computers directly to each other using their network cards as the interface.

In the modern era, this configuration is entirely unnecessary as most computer networks are built around a Network Switch. So, if you have a Switch or a Router in your network, this configuration is probably irrelevant and should not be selected. But, for those who need it, Purist will build it!

We consider a Crossover Ethernet cable to be VERY Special Order. By that we mean, do your due diligence before purchasing this configuration, because there are no return privileges for this cable.  Although it's still covered by the manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects, we can't accept this cable back as it will require significant reworking to convert it back to a normal Ethernet cable.
