Venom V14 Digital Power Cord

The Venom V14 Digital is built on the foundation of the standard V14 power cord, adding Shunyata's patented Noise Reduction multi-stage noise-filtration. This technology removes noise and interference from both the power line as well as from noise generated by the components themselves. Starting with Shunyata's world-class Venom 14 power cable, the molded wall plug is removed and replaced with a larger and higher grade connector which  fits the NR circuit. Venom 14 NR provides a startling improvement in tone, space, presence and power.

The Venom 14 Digital is suitable for a broad array of uses,  improving most source components, power supplies, video displays, music servers etc, Don't be foold by the Digital in the name, the V14 Digital works exceptionaly well with analog sources as well! Turntables, phono preamps, Tape Decks, even smaller tube components all benefit from the noise reduction, especially those with motors or servos in them

Featuring a high degree of flexibility and with four IEC choices, Venom 14 Digital works with virtually every component on the market today. We don't recommend the Venom 14 Digital for devices such as large integrated amps, power amplifiers or power conditioners, besides Shunyata makes other cords which are better suited for those tasks.

V14 Digital is only available with US AC Wall plugs.

The V14 Digital employs Shunyata's patented Noise Reduction circuitry (aka NR).  Shunyata Research manufactures NR power cords that contain filter circuits which measurably and dramatically reduce noise at specific frequencies common to the power line and electronic power supplies.  NR power cords eliminate noise in two directions and deliver startling results when connected to electronics tasked with resolving low-level signals or improving visual images.

DTCD ANALYSIS
Every facet of the V14 Digital power cord has been refined to deliver measurably superior Dynamic Transient Current Delivery.  DTCD™ Analysis is a technique that measures instantaneous current through low impedance electrical conductors and contacts. Shunyata Research uses it to optimize the design, specification and construction of parts and materials to ensure maximum current delivery performance. Each part, conductor, noise circuit and material inside this power cord allows for maximum throughput of instantaneous current. 

HIGH PERFORMANCE CONDUCTORS
Shunyata Research uses only the highest purity of copper available for the production of its wire products.  OFE Alloy 101 or C10100 is the highest grade of copper with a minimum 99.99% purity and a conductivity rating of 101% IACS. OFE stands for oxygen-free electrolytic and supersedes the term OFHC (oxygen-free high conductivity).  C10100 is the only grade of copper that comes with a written certification of purity.

EXCLUSIVE SHUNYATA RESEARCH CONNECTORS
The Venom V14 Digital features two types of audiophile-grade, molded connectors at the component end made from high-grade brass with the ability to accept 14 gauge power conductors.  These connectors are completely sealed with a potting compound to protect the contacts and wires from corrosion. This also prevents any possibility of the wires becoming loose over time.

At the wall plug, Shunyata uses the same Audiophile Grade Connectors used in their higher level series of power cords. These connectors are made from a high-grade brass-copper-zinc alloy which can accept very large gauge conductors and feature polycarbonate head-shells to provide a lifetime of longevity.

Hermetically Sealed
Shunyata Research plugs are filled with an electrically inert compound that protects the contacts and wires from corrosion.  The compound also ensures that the wires cannot become loose, fray or pull out from the head shell.  This guarantees a lifetime of reliable performance that does not degrade over time.

Venom V14 power cords receive the same proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process treatment developed for our Reference Line power cables.

Four days of continuous KPIP™ processing dramatically reduces burn-in time and significantly improves sonic performance, delivering a relaxed and life-like presentation.
