Atmosphere X EXCITE

Atmosphere X EXCITE is Synergistic Research’s highest-resolution non-Airstring phono cable, featuring 2 x 4th Gen-Tricon RCA and 4 x 4th Gen-Tricon Geometry XLR, hand-built and engineered in Synergistic Research’s California factory. For connectors, Synergistic Research selects the highest-performance SR20 RCA and Neutrik XLR. Shielding is Level 3 UEF Matrix with Graphene for an exceptionally low noise floor and sky-high musicality.

Performance is enhanced with the award-winning SR BLUE Fuse treatment for increased musicality and resolution, while soundstaging is enhanced with a blast of 1,000,000 volts of electricity in a process called Quantum Tunneling. All told, Atmosphere X EXCITE is a flexible phono cable capable of taking any analog rig to a significant next level.

Matrix Shielding

The previous Atmosphere X Series Cables started as an experiment to explore ways of improving UEF Shielding by placing UEF Tech at strategic grid points on the shields of Atmosphere cables, now called Matrix Shielding.

Matrix Shielding arranges UEF elements on a grid pattern of the cable shield to lower its noise floor. Atmosphere SX refines Matrix Shielding further by using new Carbon Fibre UEF Tuning Discs developed expressly for Atmosphere SX to enhance the loom’s ability to cancel noise that would otherwise cause high frequencies to sound harsh or fatiguing.

As a result of ongoing Synergistic Research development into UEF Shielding, the resolution envelope has been pushed further when voicing Atmosphere SX through the development of new Carbon Fibre UEF Tuning Discs for a more holographic sound with enhanced resolution and musicality.

Synergistic Research completely reformulated and re-voiced the Galileo Tuning Circuits with new technology designed for the new ultra-resolution, musical Galileo SX line of cables.

Gold Bullets now impart even greater musicality and liquid smoothness, with a touch more air and detail than before. For best results, it is recommended that the Synergistic Research cable first be allowed to settle into the system for 72 to 96 hours without removal or handling and without Gold Bullets attached.

After the cable has settled, listen first with no Gold Bullet, then with Gold Bullets, and select the option that produces the most satisfying musical performance in the system.

Atmosphere EXCITE SX provides the Gold SX Tuning Module, while Atmosphere EUPHORIA SX comes equipped with both the Gold and Silver SX Tuning Modules.

Quantum Tunneling
SRX Long Duration High Voltage Conditioning

After perfecting some of the most natural-sounding and holographic cables in Synergistic Research history, the company set out to take cable performance further with a new high-voltage conditioning process that applies a sweeping frequency plot for an extended duration.

Synergistic Research experimented with dozens of frequencies in different combinations over a prolonged period before establishing the optimal mix. The company even built a new Tesla Coil to handle the excess heat generated during long conditioning sessions.

Once finalized, the SRX conditioning process created holographic realism and timbral accuracy far beyond the previous Tesla Coil conditioning protocol.

Build Notes:

• Atmosphere Level 3 UEF Matrix Treatment: 2 different UEF coatings with Graphene are applied to connectors and cabling and ground significantly reducing the noise floor and allowing a purer signal to transfer with less grain providing more warmth and detail. The conductors and ground plane also benefit from dampening effect that UEF provides.
