ST-50 Stylus Cleaner

ST-50 quickly and safely removes grit, dust and hair from your stylus! DS Audio created this innovative stylus cleaner for their own cartridges, but the secret's out and it works astonishingly well on all brands of cartridges! Leveraging material sciences, DS Audio created this highly effective device from a Urethane Resin developed to remove microscopic dust from sensitive instruments in clean rooms! 

Obviously, in those conditions, high efficacy and zero residue are paramount concerns and this gives ST-50 a huge advantage over other forms of cleaning your stylus. Simply use your tonearm's cueing lever to slowly lower the stylus anywhere onto the ST-50's generous 1.1x1.1" effective surface and then slowly raise the stylus back up. If required, repeat the process until the stylus leaves nothing behind, then you can start playing records! Takes only a few seconds, and then you're assured that your stylus is clean going into the groove! We recommend using ST-50 before playing each side of an LP.

The aluminum block chassis (nickel plated!) which houses the cleaner is only 0.5" tall and has a special backing to securely hold the cleaner in place while in use. Even comes with a matching top to keep the cleaner safe when not in use.

Once the ST-50's surface has been used too many times to clean effectively, simply rinse it under cool tap water to remove the contaminants. The ST-50 will lose all tackiness at this point, don't fret, that comes back once the ST-50 is dry.
Do not use soap, it's unnecessary and can damage the cleaner.
Do not blot dry, allow to air dry at room temperature, no heat. Depending on relative humidity in the room, the drying process maytake between 30 - 90mins. Once the ST-50 surface appears dry, then it's ready to be used again!
