System Enhancer Technology
Since 1993 PAD has offered System Enhancer media to condition all components (speakers, cables, and electronics) in the system by removing molecular stresses and residual magnetism. Starting with CDs and then adding LPs and a USB, these are great both for burning in your gear and cables, but also for reconditioning components. Over time your system will get electrically "distorted" due to the multiple electromagnetic fields in close proximity to each other which we find in an audio system, playing any version of the System Enhancer restores natural tonal balance and wideband dynamic range. Analog systems are particularly susceptible to this, due to the magnetic nature of cartridges.
Use The System Enhancer for Warm Up
Another valuable application for the System Enhancer is something we stumbled on accidentally, accelerated system warm-up. Many audio systems can't be kept powered up all the time for various reasons. This means there's a warm-up period at the beginning of each listening session before the system comes "on song". This is especially an issue for analog lovers, because even if the electronics are kept on, the cartridge is"stone cold" until it has a few sides put through it. Depending on the cartridge, it can be several hours before the cartridge really starts sounding its best. Playing the Purist Enhancer LP during system warm-up brings your cartridge, tonearm cables, phono stage (and MC transformer if you have one) up to speed quickly for a much more satisfying listening experience.
