NCF Clear Line XLR Plug-in Noise Filter (Ea)

Special Price $310.40 Regular Price $388.00

The NCF Clear Line series are the ultimate audio-grade passive optimizers, designed specifically for enhancing playback performance of source components and preamplifiers. These innovative devices, available in a variety of connector types bring the remarkable benefits of NCF technology to any audio or video system, improving sonic performance and overall clarity.

Each NCF Clear Line model is a compact and passive device which plugs directly into a component. Furutech's proprietary NCF formula draws and dampens vibrations from within, effectively eliminating electrical and mechanical resonance. These devices significantly lower the noise floor and improve signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), creating an immersive and engaging listening experience.

How To Use
This couldn't be easier! Simply insert an NCF Clear Line device into any available port in your gear. The improvement in performance is remarkable. You will immediately notice an improvement in soundstage depth and focus that continues to improve as the device starts to settle down. Furutech recommends allowing the unit to settle for at least 24 hours for best results. The NCF Clear Line improves harmonics and balance of sound, increasing transparency, reducing high-frequency noise and enhancing overall dynamic contrast. You'll hear deeper black backgrounds and improved clarity.

Construction (Hybrid Multi-Structure)
The XLR versions start with Furutech's own carbon fiber connectors, CF-601M (R) NCF for the Male XLR and CF-602F (R) NCF for the Female XLR. The body of the XLR also features special NCF damping clips to reduce internal resonances. The NCF Clear Line carbon housing is constructed using Stainless Steel and features four individual layers of hybrid NCF material with a clear outer hard coat for durability. The air chamber inside the XLR chassis is pressure sealed to improve mechanical damping. The end cover of is formed from special heat-resistant nylon blended with Furutech's NCF material for the ultimate in resonance damping. Even the internal screws are made with either Stainless Steel or non-magnetic Copper alloy to minimize electrical interaction.

Alpha-OCC Air Coils
One of the key elements which make NCF Clear Lines so effective are their tuned inductors, dubbed Air Coils. These coils quite literally devour noise. As design refined over thousands of hours of listening tests; high-purity copper coils mated to Furutech's proprietary NCF material “tune” the performance of the device. During initial prototype testing of the NCF Clear Line concept, Furutech tested hundreds of coil windings until they achieved the optimum geometry to eliminate noise, remove static and elevate overall performance of any system.

Hybrid Ceramic Capacitors
Features audio grade ceramic capacitor (passive type) to enhance the acoustic performance of your devices. Furutech's team has put in countless hours of testing to determine the perfect type and specifications of capacitor to help your system achieve the ultimate sound quality. We have coated the outer layer of our ceramic capacitor with a high-performance silver-colored special damping treatment to suppress any unwanted vibration and boost sound clarity. The ceramic capacitor also features advanced tuning technology that eliminates any noise interference induced from your equipment's output terminals, ensuring that you get the best possible sound experience.

Nano Crystal Formula (aka NCF)
This is the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material. Developed by Furutech, NCF is a proprietary crystalline compound blended with ceramic nanoparticles and carbon powder. This process creates a remarkable material with multiple benefits: First, NCF generates negative ions to eliminate static charge build-up. Second, NCF converts thermal energy into far-infrared light, a remarkable innovation allowing the material to run cooler, even during the most demanding of passages. Third, NCF has excellent damping properties, thanks to the “piezoelectric effect” of the NCF material. Found exclusively in Furutech’s top offerings, NCF is a game-changing material and its sonic effect is undeniable; superior resolution, clarity and dynamics, with deep-black backgrounds and a purely natural tonal balance.

Two-Stage Alpha Process of Cryogenics and Demagnetization
For the first step in the Alpha Process, Furutech developed a low-temperature two-stage cryo process which significantly improves every facet of audio and video performance. The treatment begins during the manufacturing process with a deep, conditioning cryogenic freeze of all metal parts. Using high-end refrigerants (liquid N2 or Helium) Furutech drops the temperature to between -196℃ to -250℃. The treated parts change their molecular structure at these extremes relieving internal stress. The molecules bond together more tightly and the overall structure becomes more stable. This improves electrical conductivity and thus power & signal transfer.

Step two of the Alpha Process exposes these same parts to Furutech’s patented Ring Demagnetization treatment. Ordinary high-power magnets used for this purpose can increase magnetic effects; leaving some areas more magnetized than others. The Ring Demagnetization treatment uses controlled attenuation to eliminate magnetization across the entire part delivering a substantially more vivid and wide bandwidth improvement. Ring Demagnetization further enhances conductivity of all treated materials. Every metallic part used in a Furutech product goes through the Alpha Process treatment to keep connectors, conductors, and other metal parts perfectly stress-free, stable, and highly conductive.
