10x5 Mk II MC Phono Cartridge

This familiar red bodied cartridge has been in continuous production since 1978. Considered quite a good cartridge even back then, it was the recipient of the prestigious (at the time) Design and Engineering Award at the Chicago CES in both 1978 and 1981.

The 10x5 MkII incorporates several Dynavector-exclusive technologies which have made this brand such a favorite among analog lovers all over the world.  Technologies such as their "magnetic flux damper" (patented), "softened magnetism" (also patented) and powerful neodymium magnets which provide the exceptional dynamic range and smooth treble response Dynavector cartridges are renowned for.

The Dynavector 10X5 MKII phono cartridge also features an improved stylus assembly with a nude diamond "Shibata III" line contact stylus and improved hardened cantilever material. These improvements ensure excellenttracking ability over even the most torturous of record grooves while delivering extended high frequency response and enhanced musical resolution.

The 10X5 MKII phono cartridge also features a powerful neodymium magnet and a recently designed aluminium head block to provide a rigid platform for the cartridge motor and secure fixing to the tonearm. Available in both a High Output Moving Coil version (2.8mV) which is compatible with  all MM phono stages and a Low Output Moving Coil version with a robust 0.5mV output, making it compatible with the vast majority of Moving Coil phono stages.
