These Direct Silver-Plated BFA/Banana adapters turn your standard spades into bananas.
Lightweight, easy to use, each 1002 's threaded post is 0.25" in diameter. This fits standard 6mm opening spades and also includes a threaded lock-nut to assure a firm connection.
The relatively short body of the 1002 keeps the cable's weight close to the binding post allowing this adapter to hold even quite heavy cables.
1002s may also be used as a standard banana connection. Although AudioQuest does offer better choices for this, the 1002 is quite small making it an ideal choice where space is at a premium. Removing the lock-nut will further reduce the overall diameter of the connector. Bare wire may be soldered via the hole in the end, which accommodates wire up to 9AWG solid-core or 11AWG stranded.
Each set of 1002s includes a pair of red and a pair of blac rubber "boots" to slide over the soldered connection for a seamless appearance.
