New in the Library: MrSpeakers Ether Flow and Ether C Flow Headphones

While MrSpeakers started out modifying Fostex orthodynamic headphones, they have since moved into the big leagues, designing and manufacturing from scratch several reference level orthodynamic headphones. We are pleased to announce that we have added the open and closed-back versions of MrSpeakers Ether Flow ($1799.99) headphones to our Headphone Lending Library.

The MrSpeakers "Flow" models are designed to minimize turbulence, and judging by the coherence and purity of their sound I would call these designs unqualified successes! They offer exceptional transparency and dynamic expression yielding exceptional musicality.

Orthodynamic headphones frequently sound excellent, however many competing models are at best ergonomically challenged: they are heavy and difficult to wear for extended periods. The MrSpeakers Ether Flow (open) and Ether C Flow (closed back) are significantly lighter and more comfortable than the majority of their competition.

The "Ether C Flow" is a reference level CLOSED headphone that has proven that Closed Cans are not always the poor cousins of their open-backed brethren. Finally a Closed Can that has no need to apologize for its performance! The "Ether Flow" is an Open Back Headphone with a tad better transparency, but both versions offer exceptional sound quality and exceptional comfort.

MrSpeakers still makes the original NON-Flow version of the Ether headphones ($1499), however based upon the modest price difference between the Ether and the Ether Flow headphones, we are focussing on the significantly improved open and closed back Flow versions in our Headphone Lending Library.
