The new Alpha USB ($1000/1.5m) and Sigma USB ($2000/1.5m) cables incorporate Caelin Gabriel's design advances in conductor science, noise-shielding, dielectric materials, and custom connectors with an alloy developed to eliminate junction-related distortions inherent in all standard USB cable designs. Both models use 100% coverage silver-mesh shielding to minimize exposure to radiated noise from nearby electronics. The standard length for both cables is 1.5 meters, which is the minimum length which will maintain the targeted performance specs.

Due to the high-speed nature of the digital signal, the conductors and termination junctions are perhaps the most critical aspect of any digital cable design. Shunyata uses a proprietary design process called Precision Matched Z conductors which eliminate conductor incongruities that would otherwise distort high-speed signal transfer.

In addition to upgraded conductor materials and dielectrics, the most distinctive difference in the statement Sigma USB (pictured) is Shunyata's Patent-Pending TAP (Transverse Axial Polarizer), which preserves signal timing by reducing inductive field energy.

Both models are on the way now to The Cable Library.
