Extra-firm grungebuster Balls are perfectly formulated to help block and absorb microphonics. Excellent for turntable plinth support and DIY projects. Superior upgrade for Gingko "Cloud" balls. Super-fast compression/deflection without resonance produces a livelier audio response than "slow" materials like Sorbothane or "unhappy balls." More sonically/resonance neutral than cork, rubber, lead, wood, or just about any other isolation material.
7/8" grungebuster ball is superior upgrade for DeadBall Isolators.
DIY Sandbox Decoupling: Imbed three or more large grungebuster balls in a sandbox, then place a platform on the balls for ideal isolation.
The larger the grungebuster ball, the more weight and vibration it can handle, and they hold a lot of weight. For example, a single 7/8" grungebuster ball will easily support more than 100 pounds -- weight really isn't an issue with these balls. They'll absorb vibration and isolate whether a little weight or a lot of weight is placed on them.
