We will have a report on hot new products from CES soon, but since this announcement is especially time sensitive, and we wanted to let you know right away.
We have just learned that the operations of Quantum Products, manufacturers of one of our favorite AC enhancement products, the Quantum Symphony Pro, will be merged into Nordost, which has long endorsed this technology and wants to make it more broadly available in their own line filtration products. Quantum "QRT" technology has been a part of the Nordost Thor line filter since inception, but Nordost will now make available a whole range of AC enhancement devices. These will be at lower prices than the $3300 Thor, and will start at under $2000. Nonetheless this is much more expensive than the pure QRT products that have been available under the Quantum Products brand.
The most powerful (and most popular) of the Quantum Products has been the Quantum Symphony Pro, originally priced at $599, then reduced to $499, and we have run occasional specials at $399. We will run this $399 special one last time, through the end of January 2008, at which time this product will cease to be available.
We are told that the new (under $2000) Nordost products will be twice as powerful as the Symphony Pro, and I am sure they will have sexier packaging. But the math says that even if you take two of the $399 Quantum Symphony Pro's now, you will be well ahead of the game. And frankly even one of these does great things for an audio or video system!
QRT technology affects electromagnetic fields in a way that causes a more uniform and ordered electron behavior within the fields, therefore actually conditioning the electricity flowing through your system each step of the way. The music will sound more vibrant, dynamic and immediate, along with increased clarity and sweetness. The result is a sense of “life” in the music; something that can be one of the most elusive elements of a great system that really connects with the listener.
This alternative approach to line filtration is compatible with other forms of line filtration/conditioning. We will reduce the price on our website to this $399 level through the end of January. After that, we look forward to the new product releases by Nordost in the Spring.
