We have long been proponents of lifting cables off the floor to get them out of the haze of electrostatic energy (especially with carpeted floors) and mechanical vibration. Powerline Filter Special

Quantum Physics Noise Disrupters: System "Decongestant"
|

One of the best new products of the year: the Quantum Physics "Noise Disrupter." Designed to reduce airborne EMI and RFI, the sonic effect of this product is to "decongest" the sound, improving both resolution and the imaging of the system as each instrument or voice emerges more cleanly from a darker background.
What are they??? The Disrupters, which are available in two sizes, consist of a sealed box with a proprietary combination of materials inside that have been specially treated to absorb noise. Frankly if you shake them, you would think you were holding a box full of rocks. Whatever, the product works!
Even when using the best power conditioners, there are electromagnetic fields and EMI and RFI radiation being generated by the components themselves. These will "leak" into other nearby components, causing smearing of the sound. By placing the large Disrupters over the biggest offenders ( transformers in the power amplifier/pre-amp), a sense of enhanced resolution is revealed that is unlike any other product we've ever tested. The smaller Disrupters are designed for internal placement eg. on circuit boards, and are also effective when placed in the proximity of the laser/drive mechanism of the cd player.
