The Stabtower is a three or four level racking system combining multiple Stab1 shelves. The top shelf, generally used for a source component, also incorporates the dynamic damper used in the Stab1 isolation platform, and is isolated from the rest of the structure by means of Gregiteks "planetary spheres," which are brass encased bearing supports.
The platform size for each shelf is 600x 512 x25mm (23.6" x 20" x 1"). Shelves integrate to a three pillar aluminum superstructure. Vertical spacing between shelves is 225mm (8.75").
Six coats of transparent varnish cover the red or black stained shelves, each manufactured with hand-made ash heartwood staves, carefully chosen for tonality, a method similar to that used by the best Italian piano manufacturers.
