We have been working on a process for insulating our own cables for about two years now, and we've finally got it nailed (mostly). It is a very green process that allows us to dispose pure Teflon combined with pockets of air onto a conductor without having to superheat any plastics. It results in an insulator the likes of which has not been seen in this industry before.
We had a few growing pains, to be sure: Machines jamming, insulation material discombobulating, thousands and thousands of dollars in waste. Heartbreaking, really. Machine processes are the crossroads where theory and practice diverge, and I am always reminded of that every time I come up with some new idea for a process.
However, due to a stroke of genius (or maybe just a stroke), we're now on track and producing Morpheus! raw cable - which means we are now producing Morpheus! products.
Morpheus! raw cable combines our peerless CuTube™ hollow copper tube conductor (oxygen free OFHC grade), which has walls only 0.008" thick and has been annealed "dead soft", with our new AERON™ dielectric material and process, along with a pure copper weave around these to produce an extraordinarily high-functioning cable form.
Together, these form the basis for amazing articulation and - most importantly - harmonic integrity. This is what is missing from so many audio systems, and it is my belief that cables are partially to blame. So when you get your Morpheus! cables be sure to listen for harmonics - that prismatic glow of musical information that bristles around music's core fundamentals.
Terminated as a loudspeaker cable, the Morpheus! provides category-busting balance and dynamic performance from top to bottom - even with the most current-demanding loudspeakers! Yes, we've improved Morpheus! to address woofers that could lunch on whole cities and dim Nicola Tesla's lab.
